New York City is home to a vibrant photonics research community, and acts as a magnet for visitors from around the world. Stay on top of current trends in the field and expand your horizons with local seminars, workshops and conferences.
Facilies and equipment are available throughout the CUNY system for photonics track research. Graduate students may take advantage of the Advanced Science Research Center’s state-of-the-art radio frequency, optics, micro- and nanofabrication user facilities.
Faculty members’ research interests span quasi-particle dynamics, low-dimensional materials, quantum optics and optical computing, optomechanics, metamaterials, ultra-fast spectroscopy, nanophotonics, nano- and microfabrication, modeling and simulation, biophotonics, wave propagation in disordered media, topological photonics and more.
